Give Back This Holiday Season

Give Back This Holiday Season

I met a Christian man in the Phoenix Area that is involved with a group that
strive to do what they can to make a difference and help those
who cannot help them selves.
They tell me they are a strict non profit 100% volunteer
group who provide food, medical care and prevention and clothing and blanket
drop off.
They go to the community they serve directly (to shelters,
neighborhoods wherever there are those in need. They ask nothing in return but your help.

I have re-written below, the information I received from them.

If any of you feel moved to do so, they told me they desperately need: Easy to prepare and transport
food items, Blankets, Winter clothing, Gift cards to food stores; and of course, volunteers.
They prefer
not to accept cash. However, they will gladly tell you what shelters the Give Back supports.

They have partnered with Lux Coffee shop in downtown Phoenix AZ as an official
drop point and they can also arrange pick ups in the phoenix Metro area.
The drop point
for LUX is:

LUX coffee bar
4404 N.
Central Ave
Phoenix, AZ 85012

Donations in the form of checks and gift cards for grocery stores can be
mailed to.

"Thank You" and "Preparing for the Road: Step One"

Hey everyone!! Hope you all have an awsome Christmas and New Year. Just wanted to thank all of you for your support this year with the debut album release. I really appreciate your loyalty and support. And to all who voted for FLUSH on the MTV2 Poll, thanks for making FLUSH a Top Ten Video of the YEAR. Now, some important and very exciting news.

I am very happy and excited to announce that over the Christmas holidays I will be holding CLOSED AUDITIONS for potential band members to hit the road with in 2009. If all goes well with the auditions, look for an announcement from me and Driven Music Group sometime in January for an announcement of who I may have selected to be part of my band for touring. We will get you bio information on each band member selected. Thank you for your patience. Of course, Step 2 will be the announcement of any tour dates we put together. Looking forward to seeing all of you LIVE back on the road as soon as possible in 2009!!

blistering.com interviews Head

Welch recently spoke to Blistering.com openly about his departure from Korn, his new found spiritual enlightenment, how he hit rock bottom emotionally and physically and how everything was channeled into Save Me From Myself>

Blistering.com: You left one of the most successful bands of the past decade and gave it all up. What was the catalyst that lead to you leaving Korn?

Brian “Head” Welch: Things were progressing for a long time, but my wife took off with another guy and left our kid in my control. At that point it was like, “Oh now what do I do?” So I started hiring nannies to take care of her, but it didn’t work. At that point I started drifting away from the group and everyone in the band was out of control and with every record it got worse.

Blistering.com: Do you think that the way Korn blew up into mainstream success changed people and their attitudes?

Head: The most fun I had in Korn was when we were working our way up, but once we got to the top it was sort of like, “Well now where do we go?” And there was only one way to go and that was down. We still head it and Korn was still huge, but it was sort of like we had climbed this mountain and once we got to the top the fun was gone. It became a career instead of a dream.

Blistering.com: Are you climbing the mountain again with your solo material?

Head: Ya’ totally, but it’s different now because it’s not about me fulfilling my dreams of being a rock star; it’s about people enjoying the music. I went to a concert recently and I was always the one on stage, but I was in the crowd watching and could see all the fans singing the songs and how happy they were. It just hit me at that point that it wasn’t about the artist, but the gift the artist has and pleasing the people.

Blistering.com: After you left Korn you made some statements about your new found spirituality, which the media latched onto. Do you regret being so visible in the media after your departure?
